Speaker Lineup

Below are some of the speakers you can expect to hear from at this year’s conference:

Geoff Zeiss, Between the Poles — Ground Penetrating Radar in Utilities
Peter Batty, Ubisense — The Consumerization of Geospatial

Matthew McCauley, GeoSim Systems — 3D Virtual Cities; The Current State of the Art
A new level of detail and precision has been achieved in building parametric, interactive 3D city models. Virtual Vancouver, created by GeoSim Systems, will serve as an example of how an end-to-end production chain has been created using four types of geospatial data. Air and ground photography and air and ground LiDAR are preprocessed and fused. A final 3D model is assembled using a unique production process and the model is rendered online in Unity. Technical information will be supplemented by several short movies showing a range of applications of 3D mapping technology.
Bill Johnstone, Spatial Vision Group — Using Integrated Data and Engineering Models to Support Dam Safety Preparedness
Dennis Beck, Spatial Business Systems — Using Spatial ETL in a Multi-Vendor GIS Environment
Jeff B Glickman, PHOTEK First in Forensic — Photogrammetry and Amelia Earhart: 2014 UPDATE!
Martin Guzman, Puget Sound Energy — GIS Case Study
Piet Nooij, FortisBC — Software Enabled Alignment of Planned Infrastructure: This presentation discusses how organizations can benefit by overlaying planned infrastructure in a GIS environment and reduce planning and construction cost
Eric Charette, Intergraph — Damage Assessment in Utilities
John Himmel, FortisBC — GIS Refresh Project
